BIOGRAPHY
WHORK AND EXHIBITIONS
Spanish figurative painter and sculptor, classic and
charismatic artist, lover of beauty, elegance and harmony.
Scholar of the great Spanish masters: Velázquez, Fortuny, Sorolla, Casas.
He began his studies on art and painting at the T.E.A.S. School, and finished them in the mid-1990s at the Lotja Academy and the Massana School, Barcelona, Spain.
The pictorial work from Ortega Avila reflects a perfect mastery of drawing,
light and color. He manages to bring out the best of each moment. His magnificent portraits are a clear exponent of the mastery of the painting technique.
Ortega Avilas’ impressionist work currently comprises three collections: Tuareg People, The World of the Horse and Classical Spain. They highlight clarity and precise artistic balance, all harmonized with a loose, elegant stroke, together with great color depth.
Wonderful Arabic fabrics, precise knowledge of the horse and spectacular movement of bullfighting motives, all confirm that Ortega Avila is one of the most expressive and brilliant artists of this moment.
